Norway · 2022–2023 · for STOW, integrator Swisslog
For STOW we installed the racking of Unil’s automated high-bay warehouse in Norway, in both the frozen and the ambient part. Around 20 of our installers worked on site at peak, for seven months – mostly through the Norwegian winter, with hall temperatures at or below 0 °C. When lorries with material got stuck in the snow, we pulled them out ourselves and kept installing. Handed over on schedule, without accidents, despite problems with material deliveries.
“Perfect. I have never seen a site left this clean.”
Rik Debeuf, project manager, STOW
Germany · 2023 · for Stockam
In Levi Strauss & Co.’s new automated distribution centre in Dorsten (automation: TGW Logistics) we installed a mezzanine for the French platform supplier Stockam that does not touch the floor. The whole structure hangs on special fixings in the roof, above running spiral conveyors. Material came from several suppliers and had defects, and the drawings needed corrections. We still handed over ahead of schedule – no delay, no accident and no safety breach.
“Big thanks for the work of the teams, both technically and for their good behaviour on site.”
Karim Boufime, site coordinator, Stockam
France · 2017 · for Polypal · our team before WDW was founded
For Polypal our team built several pick towers in Amazon’s LIL1 fulfilment centre near Lille. Work started in spring 2017 and ran almost to the end of the year. For several months at peak we worked two shifts: 75 people by day and 70 by night. In total, 260 of our people worked on the site. Rafał Paweł Taras organised the site from the first day to the last.
Germany · 2025 · service and welding · for Polypal Deutschland
At the end of 2025 Polypal Deutschland asked us to repair the rails the robots run on. After a robot was replaced, the rails needed correcting: the robot leaned out of plumb and jumped on uneven joints. The warehouse ran during the week, so for six weekends we arrived on Friday and worked from Friday evening to Sunday. We cut the old rails and lowered them on ropes, lifted the new ones, aligned, bolted, welded, ground and painted them – to a tolerance of a few millimetres. Every Sunday evening the shift came in and started production on time.
France · 2024 · for Polypal France, integrator Alstef
We built the 26-metre racking of an automated buffer warehouse at the Suntory Beverage & Food plant in Donnery near Orléans, including the shuttle rails. Thirty of our installers worked one shift for eight months, from February to October 2024. Despite late material, technical problems and power cuts, we handed over ahead of schedule – without a single accident.
Belgium · 2022–2023 · Atlas 2D · for Stow International
For Stow International we built 26-metre high-bay racking for an Atlas 2D system in Lokeren. At the time of construction it was the largest Atlas 2D installation in Europe. Work ran from June 2022 to early 2023, with up to 50 of our installers on site, working from scissor and mast lifts.
Belgium and France · Atlas 2D · for Stow
We built the world’s first Atlas 2D installation for Clarebout Potatoes, a fries producer in Belgium. After that we installed further large Atlas 2D halls for Clarebout, and then racking at their plant in Dunkirk, France.
Denmark · 2023 · Multishuttle · for Stow International
In 2023 we installed the racking of an automated Multishuttle warehouse for Arla in Viby, Denmark, for Stow International. A crew of six – handed over on schedule.
Netherlands · 2022 · miniload · for Stow International
In early 2022 we installed miniload racking for Stow International in a salad production plant in Heemskerk. Six people, next to running production lines: with marked-off zones, minimal traffic in the hall and a site kept tidy at all times.
Netherlands · 2023 · Vanderlande ADAPTO
We installed a Vanderlande ADAPTO system for Bonfix in Zwolle: from 4 installers at the start to 12 at peak, to Vanderlande’s high tolerances.
Austria · 2025 · for Stow Austria
For Stow Austria we built six mobile racking systems with 8,544 pallet locations in Elektro-Shop Köck’s warehouse in Vienna. First, in a week and a half, we installed 810 metres of rail that were then cast into the floor. Then, in four weeks, we assembled the racking and the mobile bases and set them on the rails. Finally we connected the drives and controls. All from one crew – the system worked from day one.
