Warehouse racking and automation installation · The Nordics and all of Europe

About us

A family installation company. From Berlin to Norway.

We have been installing racking for three decades – first in a family company in Berlin, since 2019 as WDW. Today we focus on what the market needs most: fully automated warehouses.

1990s

The start in Berlin

Rafał’s father-in-law founds a racking-installation company. Within a few years it grows to more than 150 people.

2017

Amazon LIL1 near Lille

Pick towers for Polypal. At peak 75 people by day and 70 by night, 260 people over the whole site. Rafał organised the site from the first day to the last.

2018–2019

First large sites in Norway

Swisslog automated warehouses for Europris in Moss and for Malorama in Kløfta near Oslo, from July 2018 to spring 2019.

2019

WDW is founded

Rafał Paweł Taras founds the company together with his wife, to focus on warehouse automation. We start with 18 people.

2020–2021

The pandemic and STOW

In the middle of the pandemic, several key projects for the STOW group. Then, among others, two pick towers in Goleniów.

2022–2023

Norway, 34 metres

High-bay racking for Unil near Oslo, in the frozen and ambient parts, through the whole winter. On schedule and without an accident.

2023

A mezzanine that hangs

A platform suspended from the roof at Levi Strauss & Co. in Dorsten, handed over ahead of schedule.

2024

Suntory, France

26-metre racking for Suntory’s buffer warehouse near Orléans. 30 installers for eight months, ahead of schedule, without an accident.

2025

Vienna and Belgium

Turnkey mobile racking with automation connected for Elektro-Shop Köck, and cantilever racking for Würth.

Today

Kaizen and ISO

A permanent team – and on large sites, experienced installers we have worked with for years come back to us. We keep looking for faster and safer ways to install. We are implementing ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

Projects before 2019 were carried out by our team in the family company, not by WDW.

Our fleet

We drive to site in our own vans

Eight branded WDW vans take crews and tools to sites all over Europe.

On longer sites the van with the tools stays with the crew the whole time, and we bring installers in for their shifts by car.

For distant sites we fly the installers in. Tools and equipment come by van, and the crew arrives rested, without hours of driving.

Got a project? Send the drawings – we’ll prepare a quote.

Projects of 20,000 to 60,000 man-hours are everyday work for us. Attach drawings, a bill of materials or installation instructions.
